HiROs Pop: A Free Pop-Style Font (Commercial Use OK, Japanese Kanji Included)
HiROs Pop is HiROs Studio's original font. It is round, bold and slightly bouncy, character by character, and is great for captions, thumbnails, headings and flyers. It is free for both personal and commercial use.

HiROs Pop is distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (OFL).
- Free for personal and commercial use: videos, images, print, signs, logos, product packaging and more.
- No need to contact us or credit us when you use it.
- You may bundle the font with apps or games (please include the OFL text as well).
- You may not sell the font file by itself.
- If you distribute a modified version, give it a different name, as required by the OFL.
The kanji, symbols and others are adapted from Zen Maru Gothic (Copyright 2021 The Zen Maru Gothic Project Authors, SIL OFL 1.1). The full license text is in OFL.txt inside the ZIP.
How to install
- Download HiROsPop.zip with the button above.
- Open (extract) the ZIP and take out HiROsPop.ttf.

Windows: right-click HiROsPop.ttf → "Install" (or "Install for all users").
Mac: double-click HiROsPop.ttf → "Install Font". - Reopen Word, PowerPoint, your image editor and so on, and "HiROs Pop" appears in the font list.
Use it in HiROs Studio apps
In HiROs Studio's web apps, you can use it without installing: just choose "HiROs Pop (original)" in the font list.
- Video Editor: for captions (used in the tutorial "Make a Vertical Short Video")
- Web Photo Editor: for the Text tool
- HiROs 3D Studio: for 3D text (used in the tutorial "Make a Nameplate with 3D Text")

FAQ
Can I use it in YouTube videos and thumbnails?
Yes, even in monetized videos, for free. No need to contact us or credit us.
Can I use it for a shop logo or products I sell?
Yes. Logos, signs and product packaging are all fine. The only thing you cannot do is sell the font file itself.
Can I use it on a smartphone?
Yes, in apps that let you add fonts. In HiROs Studio's web apps, you can simply choose it from the font list in your phone's browser.
What about kanji that are not included?
Rare kanji and old forms outside JIS levels 1 and 2 are not included. Your software shows those characters in another font.
